TYPE OF PASTA SHAPE (STRAW-LIKE)

Good evening peep! Today I will continue to write about the type of pasta where they are straw alike. I had shared three types of pasta before, so now let's continue with another type :)

Let's begin with Bucatini. This straw-like pasta is shaped like thick spaghetti but is hollow in the center. The name originates from the Italian word "buco," meaning hole. Bucatini is the perfect choice for nearly any sauce, or it can be baked in casseroles or stir-fried in dishes. Bucatini can be bought in both fresh and dry variations. If you know what type of sauce you wanna use to eat with this pasta, then you can decide which kind of bucatini to use whether the fresh or dry one. If you ask me, I never ate Bucatini before but i really wanna try it out. I bet the taste is just the same with other pasta but what make it different is how we cook it, the sauce and so on.

The next shape is Manicotti. Manicotti is a tube of macaroni that is stuffed and baked. The name manicotti drives from the noun mancia, which translates to sleeve, hose or pipe. So, it is the shape itself that determined the naming of this dish. In that regard, it is the idea of the pipe shape, the hollow that can be filled, that stirs the creative juices. I always see a video where they bake manicotti. They will fill the manicotti with anything they want whether with sauce, cheese or anything then they will arrange the manicotti properly in a something like a cake pan and they bake it. This kind of cook seems like they bake a cake and they also cut it just like they cut a cake.
